Our graduating Stage 2 group, ably assisted by 'freshmen' stage ones, blitzed the WorldSkills Awards ceremony at the iconic State Theatre recently. 2000 guests witnessed a slickly organised and run evening which incorporated a number of innovations devised by EM students.
The CEO of WorldSkills Australia and Director General of WorldSkills Global bothe described the event as the best ever. Having sat through numerous awards ceremonies over the years i can certainly agree with that!
This is a great example of Events students getting the opportunity to test their newly developed skills in a real life and practical situation. All of the team benefited from the experience and I reckon some might have concluded that there is a bit more to organising sucessful events than they reckoned! From my perspective I was delighted that the team did such an exceptional job and I was also thrilled that my facilitation skills were put to good use (bring back laser-man!)
