Events this year

Ryde College is a busy college hosting many events in-house. This year looked like being pretty quiet due to the $20 million renovation project happening around the place. However, there are still plenty of activities for us to assist with.

The National Worldskills competition is taking place at Darling Harbour in June and the event is being strongly supported by Ryde, in fact Australia's Chief Judge is our of our teachers, Brigitte Collins. We are currently negotiating with Worldskills Australia to enable our Events students to be fully involved with the running of this event.

Other activities the we try and muscle into include a Wine fair, Careers Expo and Cocktail Competition. These are great events to try out your skills and give some ideas a try.

Stand-by for more information, finally, if you have any ideas for events we could organise, let us know-last years students came up with a Pink Ribbon breakfast to raise money for Breast Cancer research-the wonderful thing about Ryde College is the huge range of resources and enthusiastic support team who really work with us to make events happen, feel free to use our facilities.
